sort of celebrated their bdays together on saturday. heh. min's family's super sweet! her sis got her a bouquet of flowers, her parents got her these super big n nice happy birthday balloons, prepared all the nice nice food and the cake was super duper nice!
n of course with my dear girls, we always have interesting stuff to do. hahaha. rj was showing us her magic tricks n we observed n learnt some on our own! hehe. damn cool =D but its a secret ahhaa so shhhhh... =p
watched the movie Penelope after eating n cutting the cakes. we were quite late coz of all the phototaking n stuff hehe but still managed to reach when the trailers just ended. the show was really so fantasy that it din really make sense if u think abt it. hahahaa. i guess its the kind of show tt u can only watch but not think abt it. coz the more u think abt it the more it doesnt make sense. haas. but it was not bad la. heh. went back to min's hse after tt n drank red bean soup tt her mum made. then we just sat ard n made them open their presents before gg back home.
one thing i love abt gg to min's hse is that its super near to mine! wahahahaha. i can just walk home! duh, coz its like just one blk away, in the same estate. LOL =p rocks hor!

oh yeah n thanks to remy who told me abt a job vacancy at kathy's company, im employed again! hehe. went for the interview yesterday. n im starting to like the company alr! my interviewer at least was really friendly hahaaha n quite cute. she was like so hyper man. lols.
starting work next tues coz they want me to have a "fresh start". lol. just as well, i was thinking of resting for awhile before working again. heh =)
gonna be busy meeting up with pple again this wk! okays mostly pple i've been meeting lol. gg to plan our travel itinery tomorrow with the sweden pple, namely darren, yinghwee, teresa n samantha. just settled the tix n stuff yesterday. getting excited abt it alr!
cant wait to go see the world n everything. and of course most importantly clearing my modules in lund la. lol =p but wells the thought of leaving soon makes me miss my family and my darling even moree! =S

woke up early to set up my laptop n stuff coz jiafen who's on summer exchange in the US had arranged to meet our grandma's elder sis who's staying in San Fransisco now. the 2 sisters had not seen each other for more than 70 years!!! SEVENTY lehh my goodness. the chance to webcam was really super duper cool la!
kinda sad tt the images were quite blur coz the video images thru skype were kinda blurry. only managed to fix it AFTER the long long conversation with jiafen n the American family. hahaa. her brother msned me n taught me how to fix everything. sians. hahaa. oops. but wells, at least now we have each others' contacts. can contact each other online anytime. n my grandma can talk to her sis online anytime! hehe. so cool la!
actually, the 2 sisters have been keeping in contact over the phone and they have sent each other their photos before but it just feels different looking at photos n actually interacting with the other party right. haha. it was a really cool idea to arrange to meet up with them and let the 2 sisters see each other after so so sooooooooooooooooooo long!
it was really cool coz we got to talk to each other and see each other and we got introduced online to the aunties we have never met before. lols. and they got to see my dad, who was still a 5 yr old little boy when they last saw him. heh. how technology changes life huh.

who said friday the 13th has to be sad and gloomy?! hahaha. i think my black friday was super exciting la!
in the morning, i was on my way to work at raffles place. just a 2 wk long job at this business research firm called Dun and Bradstreet. quite a big company haha but i think a lot of pple haven heard of it before. anws, tt's beside the pt. haha. anws i was in the mrt station, walking up the stairs coz the escalators were full of pple. n then i saw this girl/lady. super funky la!! part of her hair's dyed purple, and she was carrying a purple bag tt was the same shade of purple as her hair! hahaha. quite cool hor!
and then i met kahyen, waysi, geraldine, andy n yong an for lunch at soup spoon. just realised tt its actually v near my workplace. heh. good =D anws kahyen was telling us abt how the marina sq kbox appears to be haunted or sth. hahaa. dunno if its true, but when she was telling us, being the super hum me, i was quite freaked out. n waysi suddenly did a "boo!" behind me! OMG. i totally freaked out n i just screamed la! it was a super short scream but i bet it was quite loud coz the whole of soup spoon turned n looked in my direction! AHHH so paisehhhh!!!!! n it was unintentional summore! the scream just came out of my mouth! hahaha ohmygoodness! =S
after finally clearing all my work n when the clock turned 6pm, i was all packed n ready to leave the office! wahahhaa. always the happiest time of the day! LOL. anws i was happily strolling slowly towards raffles place mrt frm my office coz i was supposed to meet the swocs only at 7.15pm. haha. i was super early man! have like more than 1 hr to kill. so yah, i just took my time to stroll to the mrt station.
but when i was only like halfway thru, this auntie suddenly stopped me. she wasnt really poorly dressed but the super huge old-style framed glasses were super striking. it covered more than half her face i think. haha. n her shoulder length hair was tied in the normal low auntie style. hhaa. looks a bit of a mismatch in the raffles place area where everyone was wearing formal or dressed-down but still nice clothes since its a friday. anyways, this auntie was super weird. she just suddenly stopped n asked, "excuse me miss (or xiao jie, i cant rmb), can you give me $1.90 to take bus back to tampines? if don't have $1.90, $2 also can"
she looked quite aggressive in a sense coz she seemed to be able to think properly and try to convince me to give her money. and i think she was quite desperate.. i guess. being unable to say no, i stopped and took my wallet out.. but kinda hesitated coz i was quite sure that i din have that much coins. and maybe its a typical singaporean mentality or maybe its just me but i was kinda doubtful about y she wld suddenly ask me for money. maybe i have the easily-cheated face. bleahs. haha but anw, i took my wallet out but told her that "erms, im not sure if i have that much coins but i can try to check.."
and while taking my wallet out, the highly skeptical and kaypoh me decided to just ask "what are you doing here anyway?"
and the auntie replied in chinese "i was here to look for a friend"
me: and u din bring your wallet out?
auntie: careless la, i brought my wallet out. it had $16 inside. but careless la..
me: orh.. (took out all the coins i got. grand total of $0.65) err.. this is all i have. i don't think its enough though
auntie: eh, don't have already ah? do you have $2? or $5? can give me your office number so that i can return the money to you. or just treat it like you're giving auntie money for charity la.
me: err, i dont have $5. i only have $10 notes. *looks into my wallet. really only 3 $10 notes*
auntie: $10 also can
me: err, i also need the money. i don't have enough money with me also. err, if you want i can go to the watson's nearby to buy something n give you the change?
auntie: can give me the $10.
me: but i'm going out and i also need the money.
auntie: there's always the atm what *gives weird smile*
at that, i was thinking to myself, what on earth is she saying man! i mean, if she wanted to ask someone for money in the first place n that person doesnt have enough, she can just take whatever that person can give her n maybe ask someone else what! if i dont have means i really dont have already! seriously....
and then suddenly she stopped another girl.
auntie: ehh miss, miss, do you have 5 $2 to change with this lady? coz she needs to give me money to go home
me:.......
girl: err, i don't think so. *checks her wallet* errr, yah i dont have....
and then the auntie suddenly walks away from us. dunno who's she looking for. ahhaa. and then we just decided to leave.
super weird la! seriously, if she had just given up in trying to make me part with my money and ask a few more pple for a few more coins im sure she wld have been able to chalk up the $1.90 that she needed.
i mean, its not that i dun wanna lend her the money. but really, i was really running out of cash too. and i haven gotten any pay yet. and i have been going out quite often so i need the money. its not that i dun wanna give it to her. i really wun mind parting with $1.90 if i had sufficient coins. but really, to want me to give you $10 when i need the money also is really ridiculous la! not everyone in raffles place is rich lor. and really, do i look like i'm really easily cheated?! darnn...

okays anyhows i just continued my stroll to raffles place, took the train to cityhall, strolled along citylink n window shopped n stuff. then made my way to imperial treasure to look for the swocs when i saw britt at his workplace! hahaha. cedele! hahaha. and then i saw caroline n haojie eating cake there. lols. chilled there for awhile before gg to imperial treasure n waited for the swocs to come in one by one. and finally gilyn came with the bday boy! hahas.
dinner was as usual, fun! hahaha. all the super old jokes to the new ones and all the chatting n laughing. hehe. really miss the times when we would like see each other so often tt we wld get sick of seeing each other. lol. but it was nice catching up n stuff. hahaha. everything seems so different now.. most of us r interning/temping etc. all occupied with other stuff. but still able to talk so much and for so long. hahahaha. love the cosy cosy feeling (:
and apparently, we met weird pple there too! hahaa. or at least gilyn saw them. ahhas. coz we were preparing to take a grp photo n one of the restaurant's staff offered to help us take. n 2 guys ran in and wanted to pop their heads into our photo. ahhaha. but luckily the billboard in the background was so bright tt she din take the photo. lols. super funny.
met my sis at citylink before taking the train back tgt while the rest went to harry's for a drink. heh. n we saw this guy with super long hair! i bet his hair's longer than both of ours combined! hahaha. n he was like letting it fly at the back of his head like some shampoo advert. lol. coz it was quite windy in the connecting parts of the train's carriages. haahhaa super interesting.

start of a happening week! heh.
went out with my darling on sunday. did lotsa random stuff. hehs. ran at bishan park for awhile, then went to look for yuan bin, britt n rodney at the other side of bishan park coz they were organising some event. then went home to bathe before meeting again in hall to go out for lunch! ate at pepper lunch at IMM then went to clementi to cut his hair before gg to esplanade. haha. just walked ard a bit before settling down at starbucks in marina square. chatted abt a whole lot of random stuff before gg to outback steakhouse at millenia walk. hehe. then finally went home. omg was really a day of a lot of travelling man! super tired after tt. lols
monday was spent travelling to n from nus to review my exam papers. bleahs. so sian thinking abt it. haha. oh wells, just filled in 2 forms n left. met fish to claim some money frm her. bumped into charlene on the way back coz she was working in nus for some research stuff too. heh
met my kor at orchard for lunch n catch up. ahahs. ate at sun w moon. the food there is good! =) was nice catching up too. hahaa before tt old man starts work next wk. LOL =p so exciting thinking abt the places to travel to during SEP. heh =D n thanks for the shirt frm bangkok! =D
gg to buy my luggage with my parents tmr, then meeting yixi n hf to go shopping! heh =D
meeting remy, jiafen, samson, kane, edwin, bobo for dinner on thurs;
