BiTs 'N PiEces oF mY LifE...

goodness i cant believe im so forgetful. eh, actually i can. but that's not the main point. hahas. been wanting to blog abt this coz i just felt it was so cool!

there were 2 guys on attachment in our department for two weeks recently. they're really talented n smart la. one's in his late 20s n the other's in his early 30s. they came into the room i was working at with the rest of my colleagues coz the perm staff were supposed to show n explain to them what their job scope was. so anw the perm staff asked them qns to just get to know them better n the younger one (i think) has 3 degrees! wow, THREE degrees leh! so smart right. anw after they left i was super tired coz i was in the compactus room sorting out stuff. so i just went to the washroom n when i returned to the office i went to the pantry on the way n the 2 of them were chatting there. talked to them for awhile n guess what, the guy with 3 degrees (from cambridge summore) was from NJ! WOW! he graduated frm nj in 1995. cool huh! (it was quite funny to see his expression when i told him i left nj 10 yrs later than him) hahas. nj actually has such great students man! now, who says only the other top jcs produce quality students huh?! n he wasnt like a mugger student la. according to him, only 6 months out of 12 mths were spent studying each yr for 4 yrs. can u imagine, 3 degrees in four years?! that's almost madness.

kai! hahas durian puffs! i miss them man! yes lets meet up soon again! hahha anw the word "damn" is censored la. its considered like some bad word or sth. haaha whatever lor. too lazy to change settings ahaha so nvm =) eh i din laugh lor, i was talking to the hairdreser la. haha its the same place where we did our hair for prom (: haix anw i'm STILL carrying boxes! n i got so lazy to find another job that i decided maybe i shd just stay on until 30th june, when my current contract ends. hahas. anw i guess it'll look better on my resume coz i wun look like a constant job-hopper. hehe :p take care girl!

im tired but im not sleeping. why is it not surprising huh. hahas oh well!

met sihui to run again yesterday evening. felt so good to sweat it out again! especially when office jobs make u sit for long hours. n the long hours make u feel like munching non-stop. n the non-stop munching makes u get fat. its a very vicious cycle n the only way to overcome it is to get as much exercise as u can. arrgh n the worse thing is that u cant go exercise regularly coz of working hrs. n by the time u end work, u'll be so exhausted to do anything but sleep. was nice catching up with sihui while running too! hahas :)

the great singapore sale has just started today! n its the end of the second term for all primary to jc students! gosh town's so crowded today la. was like swamped in the crowd going towards suntec. took me longer than usual to just walk to cityhall mrt. hahas. n all the shops were full of pple! especiall m)phosis, coz they have a 50 to 70% discount storewide! there were SO MANY shoppers i cldnt see anything else frm outside.

bleahs anw so sad, was supposed to meet the girls for dinner today but at ard 6 huangfang msged to say that it was cancelled! =( we haven't met up for a long long time! must meet up soon okay!

oh man i miss having the company of all my friends! so many pple to catch up with but everyone has their own commitments n no time. really miss life in school when almost everyone's in the same school. so much easier to keep in contact too. now i finally understand why pple say that its very easy to lose contact with one another. its not that we dun make the effort but sometimes things just turn out the way they do, regardless of whether we do anything. sucks huh?

hahas anyway met joyce for awhile yesterday after work coz she was working at SKII that day. hahaa so cool! all made-up n stuff. she looked so professional man. in fact, she was the one who called out to me coz i was just walking blindly(both figuratively n literally) towards cityhall n trying to get my vision back coz my contacts seemed to have dried up or sth. so irritating. oh well!

yays its the weekend! shall rest as much as i can again. wooohooooo nitez!

hello hello!! =) hahas gosh life with a job's so different from one when i'm slacking. i used to have so much time that i cld blog everyday but now, i'm too lazy to even use the comp la, much less update this blog.

the past few days/weeks have been hectic. so hectic that i cant really keep track of time! each day just passes so quickly. which is not bad actually, coz at least i earn $6.50 per hr for 8 hrs per day. woohooo more pocket money! :) work's getting better. actually not as in the work itself, but the environment. i mean after so long i've gotten used to it there already. n the pple r nice. haha v funny to talk to sometimes. just that for once, i'm the youngest there! or at least in my department. wahaha cool eh, normally im like one of the oldest in class or sth. its nice to be the youngest for a change.

college day on sat was super rushed. for me at least. as usual i missed 852. its always the same situation. after walking towards the 852 bus stop outside yck mrt station, i'll be waiting to cross the road n just when the amber light appears, the only bus i can take to nj will leave. n it doesnt matter how fast i walk to the bus stop! darn. hahas. had to wait for the bus eventually. brenda was supposed to hop onto my bus at the bus stop near her hse but she missed it too! haha so great, both of us missed our buses. anw met mich at the nj bus stop n entered nj. funnily enough, the school seemed quiet. really quiet, like it was just normal lunch or break time. it din really feel like there was a food n fun fair, though the canteen area was kinda crowded. anws met candace n joe at the linkway. us girls went to the sl after walking thru some stalls. hmms maybe i shdnt criticise the atmosphere so much, coz i left quite soon after that. in any case, call us lazy but brenda n i just wanted to stay in the sl instead of squeezing thru the crowd n all, in the super hot weather. hahas. left at ard 1 plus when my parents came coz i had to go to nus for some tea party. i was told about it only on friday when the tea party was on saturday la. thanks a lot man. hahas. n they had quite a number of freshmen intro sessions already before that. oh wells. my parents came to nj to fetch me n of we went to nus. quite interesting i must say. made me quite tempted to go for business instead. oh help this is getting so confusing. biz ad definitely seems to be much slacker though! hehe

hmms. been taking lotsa night lessons recently. had one last wed, last friday n last night. oh n one afternoon lesson on sunday too. haha its fun! oh gosh but i hope i can adapt better to the other cars in ssdc! so far the car im the most used to is car number 21. n its not even a test car. hahas. sunday's lesson was a literally bumpy ride coz i wasnt able to control the clutch pedal well enough. oops! hahas. anw i've learnt both vertical n parallel parking already! so exciting yet scary. hahas. sheesh i actually hit the pole last night la. the sound of the pole crashing onto the ground was so loud. so embarrassing can! n there was another trainee waiting to parallel park at the lot i was in. so he n the instructor both saw me screw up. oh mannnn.

by the way, i just cut my hair! my fringe is super short now. hahas. a really impulsive move. but its okay, coz i cant even think straight. hahas too tired to be bothered whether it looks good. woohooo so nice. okies gtg!

the BBQ. Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke,
perhaps Ingrid would be with us today. Some don't die. They

up in a helpless, hopeless condition instead.

A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim
within 3
hours he can totally reverse the effects of a
stroke...totally.
He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed,
and
then getting the patient medically cared for within 3 hours,
which is tough.

Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify.

to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.
Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking
three simple questions:
S *Ask the individual to SMILE .
T *Ask the person to TALK . to SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE
(Coherently) ( i.e. . . It is sunny out today)
R *Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.
{NOTE: Another 'sign' of a stroke is this: Ask the person to
'stick' out their tongue... if the tongue is 'crooked', if it
goes to one side or the other that is also an indication of a
stroke}
If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call
9-9-5
immediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.

ahhh y is time flying so fast?!?! even faster than when i was jobless! darn. its saturday already, even before i had time to blog about the previous friday's stuff

anyway last friday was great, in terms of company =) hahas wad else right. ended work at 5.30, went to amk mrt n reached there at ard 6? yeah sth like that. n then i took a long long time trying to figure out a sheltered route to get to jubilee coz it was raining. thanks to my fantastic sense of direction, it took up some time before i finally reached that building that seems disconnected frm the rest, even though its so near to amk mrt. its like, so near yet so far. was the earliest there, so went to popular to browse ard for fun while waiting for the rest to come. was juz walking ard aimlessly n so i decided to call my sisters n ask them if they wanted any stationary. HAHAHA. so dumb. yixi came soon after that n yay, everyone else arrived too! went for dinner at pao pao cha guan. somehow we started talking abt the nine o'clock show that night. the last episode happened to be that night itself n so we all flocked over to my house to watch it coz its one of the nearer homes out of the 6 of ours'. n then we all decided to watch da chang jin on channel u after that coz rj wanted to watch it. goodness it was so funny! since the show was aired with the dual sound system n rj wanted to listen to their korean voices, she helped me finally figure out how to change the audio. hahas i still cant believe my tv remote control is capable of such a function. goodness so paiseh. lol. yeah anw i think there's sth wrong with the tv or the function or sth. coz one second the voices were dubbed in mandarin, n the next moment its in the original korean voice. hahahhahahahahahhahaa we were all so amused by that! it seemed like the characters cld understand both languages, such that when one character was speaking in korean, the other would reply in mandarin. cool huh! HAAHAHHAHAHA cldnt stop laughing man...

din feel like waking up early on sat but anws, supposed to go to ps at 11 to treat pius to lunch. got to change the meeting time to 12 instead. hahahhaa dilly-dallied n reached at ard 12 plus? haha oops.. got to catch up with that junior of mine, then walked ard. then went to newton mrt to meet kairu n mich!! hahahas :D miss the girls so much! i reached newton earlier than them so i got out of the gantry first. then when they arrived, i waved super obviously with both arms n all. cant help it, cos i haven seen them for so long! n then there were some pple in front of kai n mich n they were like staring at me, wondering who this weird girl is waving to. heh. so embarrassing. mich went for church after that n kai n i went to opposite beauty world. near my aunt's house. hahah there's this bakery that sells really good durian puffs! yummy... the filling's made of REAL durians! one wasnt enough. n it was quite cheap too for such quality stuff. oh my its so nice!

met up with the rest of the 37th council at black canyon coffee for dinner. so cool to finally see so many of my fellow councillors! we seemed to be the noisiest group of pple dining there coz everyone was juz catching up with everyone else. n eating, of course. but that was secondary. hahaha anyway the aerius seniors r so nice right! lol. we decided to buy a half-kg cake frm AWFULLY CHOCOLATE for the grandjuniors! OMG the cake was so so so heavenly! the look n smell was so enticing already. ahahha lucky grandjuniors of ours. we went back to nj together after a satisfying dinner. saw all the 38th councillors being seniors now. it seemed just like yesterday when WE were the ones being so shagged after the hike, being seniors n stuff. was really nice to meet up with so many juniors. miss them so so much! oh some seniors came back too. chii tarng, squid, mingfeng, dylan (or is it dilan? haha not sure abt the spelling. but he's one fluent mandarin speaker even though he's not chinese.) caught up with a lot of juniors, even though it was still not enough. how cld it be enough when their priorities had to be the elects' camp itself?! hahas but it was nice =) had a really really lengthy intro of the seniors at the sanctuary, where all of us were introduced one by one in front of the 39th council juniors. yay so happy to see that lynette n rachel were elected into office for the second time! n varun too hahah so funny. we din stay behind to listen to the structure of the new council.. cldnt talk properly so we all ventured to the linkway. caught up even more, talked to khad finally after so long. hahas. we walked to the canteen where some of the juniors were making milo. reminded me of myself preparing milo for the juniors just a yr ago. with exactly the same equipment, in the same setting, at the same positions. they used condensed milk this yr. i dun think i rmb us using that last yr. hahahaha oops! no wonder their milo tasted better. hehe got free milo coz xinyi was one of those preparing it. LoL. two sets of milo-makers produced two different tastes. but both were nice lah.

bummed ard in the student lounge. they have aircon there now till 6! lucky pple. i miss that place man. i used to be in charge of that place! hahaha sounds so odd. mich offered a lift home in her dad's car but when we reached the main gate, melvin, richard n i decided that we wanted to stay back a little longer so we sent mich off first n walked back. thanks anw dear! hahaha we reached the canteen just in time to see the Aerius pple gathered! with the cake hahhas. yays i like the grandjuniors! too bad din get to hear the Aerius cheer but the Aerius song that they sang together was so nice. can feel the passion they have for Aerius. or at least, for the song. was wowed by them, really. went ard talking to a lot a lot of juniors. miss them so so much! actually i think i miss school itself. not the studying part, but being part of one big family, with so many pple u noe. n so many pple u trust n whom u noe u can trust. the yr2s kept saying its sian being a yr 2 but hey, its not that bad! hahas. oh well..

slacked ard at home on sunday n may day. hahas so glad for that one more day's break. so sian to get back to work. took half a day's leave yesterday. coz had driving lesson. n was so tired in the morning when i woke up! din even feel like going to work. haha oops. but yeah, got to leave during lunch time so it wasnt that bad. n anw i did wad i was supposed to complete so yea. working life's so horrible. more like no life. hearing how stressed up my colleagues are just made me miss sch even more.

oh yays i realised i haven updated about my driving lessons! hahahhaa goodness, after a 2-week hiatus from driving, i was really, seriously SCARED to drive on wed. n worse still, i was doing right turns. hahas. luckily the instructor i got that day was one who had taken me before. so at least he noes how my driving is n stuff. had to warm up a bit but the ride was still a bumpy one. oops. got to take note of my changing of gears again. they used to be perfect! must rmb not to rush hahas. i kept releasing my clutch too fast without depressing the accelerator. the car actually stalled a few times when i was doing u-turns! oops. so scary.. ahaha but i think its getting better alr. i hope! actually u-turns r fun. haha. got a new instructor again last night. he was nice too. luckily for me, all my instructors so far r nice. n they can teach. so yays =)

oh n huangfang! hahahha i promised u a special entry to u right! shall dedicate this whole paragraph for u instead! this dear girl's working at TUAS now! gosh that's so far away la. i think both of us r in the same boat. but i think im a bit luckier coz at least kahyen, crystal, shiqin n jan work v near me. so get to meet them during lunchtime at least. hehs. oh well, jiayou okay! oh n tell me how ur interview went at ntu! hope it went great! well think it shd be okay right. n yays congrats for getting ur first choice! TCM lehs. can give us free treatment next time hehe. cant wait for the next time we meet up again. shd be on the vesak day friday right? but then i have driving lesson on sat leh. oops. dunno how le. arrghs. okay anws take care in the meantime k!!! love ya!

wow its tuesday already! again. hahas

had an exciting weekend, including 2 whole days of rest! so nice :) i miss slacking ard with nothing to do. lols. anw, a v short update about it before i elaborate next time

friday - met up with the other 5 girls after work for dinner

sat - went to ps for lunch, then met kairu at novena to go to nj for elects camp! fun!
