hmmx. juz came back frm my cousin's birthday party at costa sands chalet. haha was kinda boring there coz of the medicine. kept feelin drowsy. yeahs but still, it was great! hahas. stayed in the room for v long, then went out to help out with bbqing the food! hahas. esp the prawns!!!! so nice! lol. did some catching up with my cousins as well... n saw this guy who's my cousin's cousin n in nj currently. but dun rmb seeing him ard sch lehz. haha nvm shall look out when sch reopens.

hey hey hey!!!!!!! hahas im finally back! Pre-U Sem RAWKS! WooHoo~!

hmmx. really had fun during the pre-u sem, even though the responsibility was kinda heavy n stressful. kaes lemme try to recall how the six days passed, with me being slo, leading 18 strangers ard the activities organised by our sch, making frens n forming strong bonds with everyone else...

6th June:
got a lift frm min's parents n checked in to nus' PGP residence 3 at ard 11. then the slo's went for a rackey again to familiarise ourselves with the area. haha but think it din really work for me, coz i brought the first n second wave pple to the wrong place! or at least, they had to walk A LOT. felt kinda bad coz all of them were like, half-dying or sth... with their bags n all.

then there was a briefing for everyone in MPH - Multi-Purpose Hall, the place where we frequented ever-so-often. felt kinda sleepy but fortunately, i din fall asleep! hahas. had dinner, then started the first icebreakers. the evolution game was kinda lame, but it was interesting to see everyone playing "scissors-paper-stone" n having fun! the scavenger hunt was v interesting. there were so many items to get, of which some were really weird, like "longest leg hair", "CK briefs" or sth liddat... haha damn funny! n it was really nice to see everyone co-operating with everyone else to try to get as many items as possible =) lynette's so cute! hahas. she was the only one left in our grp to lose the game all the way until the inter-team level. hahas

had supper then SLOs had a long briefing tt lasted ONE hour! everyone was seriously dead tired by the end. hmmz. then i received this msg frm yau png saying tt the guys n gals were in the students' lounge playing "truth or dare"... hahas. had to go there to check on them coz lights out alr! hmx but think someone else beat me to it n they all were rushing off back to their rooms alr. haha

dunno y, was kinda nervous abt the next day, coz it was the most impt day of the seminar. kept reading the manual n going thru the events... din really sleep much i guess?!

7th June:
woke up v early. hahas. morning call was at 5.30 but was up b4 tt alr.. met everyone in our blazers n everyone went to MPH tgt for breakfast. the food was ok lah, not fantastic. haha but it improved over the days, so at least it wasnt so bad. heh.

led our grp all the way frm pgp to the bus terminal to take bus to LT27. haha kinda scary coz i dinnoe where n how to go! luckily there were tchers there to guide us. hmmx. our grp reached LT27 v early, n we all ended up stoning there while waiting for the opening ceremony to start. it was ok i guess, juz a lil boring at times. but managed to keep awake so not that bad.

reception after tt. realised tt the food during reception is always better when there r important pple ard. Lol. yupz after that was the first parallel presentation. cant rmb much abt them actually. was kinda blur larhs. haah n din even read the file, so.. yeah. hahas. then there was lunch, then parallel presentation 2 then tea. seriously, i think everyone gained weight during this pre-u sem! there r meals almost every few hours... totally pigging out!

yepz had to go back to change out of our huge blazers n into pe attire for telematch one at SRC! hahas it was fun! omg. n manu's damn tall! played "pickin up the pieces", which is basically tryin to pick up this cup frm as far away as possible. then there was this inter-team challenge again. we did well! yeah man! hahas. had dinner then briefing then lights out again. but think we went to join our grp pple at the lounge after briefing for fun... =)

8th June:
had panel discussions. OMG. tried so hard not to fall asleep, but seriously, it was really boring! feel so bad. haiz. but nvm... parallel presentation after tt. vj's was damn good! hah v entertaining! hmmx. n think we really learnt some stuff. =) well done see hwei! =)

had this small group discussion thing... in some conference room in the SOC. hahas. think everyone interacted somehow thru the discussions.

interaction time was quite... interesting... v sleepy at tt time actually. maybe was coz i had the flu... or maybe it was the lighting. anws, we played "truth n lie". hahas. left halfway to bring see hwei to ops room for first-aid for her leg. hmmx. missed a few pple's n i heard it was kinda interesing. Lol. nvm... talked to see hwei quite a lot during our walk there coz we dinnoe how to get there initially. hahas. ;)

cant rmb much after tt, juz tt we had some briefing again like everyday.

8th June
hmmx. MICHELLE N RUIXIA's BDAES!!!!! Happy Belated Birthday dears!!!!!

yup yup. sang the bdae song with the other slos to rx in mph, but din do so for mich coz she was in the food court... oh wells, saw her after tt anw. hahas. rmb going to the holding area, but forgot for wad. went to LT27 i think, for panel discussions. yeah think so. haha. was, honestly, v boring. it was supposed to be enriching, but think we were all too tired alr. tried hard to keep awake n actually did so! wells, but after tt min passed me a letter she wrote during the first discussion n i decided it was a good way to keep awake, so juz replied her letter n wrote some others. yeahs.

rushed back to pgp, changed, met everyone else back at holding area n we took bus back to src. for telematch one. OMG! hahas it was really quite fun! played "pickin up the pieces", which was basically trying to pick up this cup frm as far away as possible on the standing broadjump mat w/o touching the mat. cheerd like crazy! TEAM B RAWKS! yea man! hmmz but still din win overall larhs. n haresh's really TALL! gosh... hahas

anws, after dinner kairu, ruixia, kim, mich n i went to kairu's room to celebrate their birthdays. really v scary, coz there was patrolling n all tt by the tchers. but we managed to escape n finally got down to celebrating their birthdays n catch up with each other. but kim n i were really tired n juz conked out after a while. hehs. then i suddenly had this coughing fit which was really damn horrible. i juz kept coughing n coughing without being able to breathe, until tears welled up in my eyes n they thought i was crying. haha but felt better after tt n went to sleep for a few hrs before going back to change n wake the others up.

9th June
really tired... almost the whole day. had to go to MPSH for Innovation & Enterprise workshop. almost fell asleep during the skit, but luckily still cld rmb some stuff. had to present n discuss with the other grp members abt the contents of the skit, after which we had to do this montage. n our grp's was v v v v v v nice! hahas. everyone was co-operatin n finding pics, large words n all tt in the magazines. had fun pasting the pieces on the montage. n the result was GREAT! FANTASTIC! WONDERFUL! lol. thanks to dominique's idea =) after doin it our grp juz stood there n stared at our masterpiece. haha gosh... it was FABULOUS~!

had recreation activites after tt. but it was raining, so we cldnt play the initially-planned games. played profile bingo in the carpark n the "Show me the Money" game. kinda lame but our grp was damn good! felt kinda guilty coz i overlooked n din give them the full instructions so in the end they din end the game as fast as we had thought we cld. sighx.

felt really weird at tt time. like, stressed n sick n i dunno wad. cold, esp. was sweating cold sweat n practically felt like i was gonna faint or sth. v bad. anw our grp rushed to the lounge to chill n i think i juz fell asleep there for quite a while. yepz. had to go watch the performance in the arts thing, which was really quite cool! the mime lady was really good! haha kinda had fun there! hmx. =)

din eat much, but took the panadol tt see hwei gave me coz i was really kinda sick alr. then was kinda tired so i went up to my room to rest for a while n sleep first b4 meeting the grp for dinner. n i happened to have their dinner coupons with me at tt time coz it was all collected alr. wells anw, i cldnt wake up in time n the next thing i knew, mr goh n jurja had opened my room door with the common key! omg was sooo shocked! n i was late for dinner larhs. saw my phone n guess wad?! 37 missed calls! 37! gosh... n then min n ky called me to ask if i was ok too. felt really bad. haix n then everyone was so concerned n worried abt me... wad a 'great' slo i have been!

yeah anws, rushed thru dinner n had this long long briefing for the next day's activity which was held in Sentosa! lol. but too bad, decided not to go coz i wasnt feeling well n din wanna burden the grp oso. haha n even mr goh said i better not go. yeahs. sadded

spent quite some time with my grp in lounge again i think. we juz kept hanging out tgt so much tt i cant rmb which one it was. Lol. lights out v early

10th June
woke up almost on time! hahas. then rushed for breakfast with the other grp pple... then as they left off for sentosa, i cld only go to the sick bay to sign in n stay in pgp the whole day. sad tt i cldnt go to sentosa. haix. msged almost everyone in the grp to cheer them on! hahas n everyone was really v sweet. =) thanks guys... =)

anws, i juz stayed there for a while, then went to the lounge to rest with Alisa, my new-found fren. haha poor gal cldnt go too, coz of her legs. tore her left muscle n had this huge bruise on her left leg coz she fell... oh wells. stayed there n juz slept, talked, watched them play cards n wrote letters to the other female SLOs in my class.

hahas. 5 hrs passed quite fast n they came back finally! omg cant believe i missed them sooo much! hahas then went to meet jurja at georgie's mart to buy stuff for my grp pple... hahas. stayed there for quite some time, then rushed up to my room to write notes to everyone. realised i took really long. missed dinner n ended up eating fish only, which was the nicest dish there. lol

then our grp went to the tv room to chill out! hahas. played some really dotz games tt r really... omg. haha had to rush to mph for briefing again like always. then our grp went back to the tv room! it was damn cool! then we started the secret message thing. hahas really interesting to see everyone writing really cool stuff abt each other. hehs. yeah n did i mention they all brought food there?! oh man... everyone was eating like crazy. haha but sighx chirag n i cldnt eat coz he lost his voice during the day in sentosa. hahas. sexy voice! lols. yeah so juz talked n wrote as they all ate. n i coughed. all the time. oh well... stayed there for quite long. v long actually. hahas

we did everything we wanted n told lame jokes n gave out the notes n letters n the grp bought cake for jurja n i! oh man so touched! =) yeah haha stayed there till ard 12 plus, then went to my room with natassia, teresa, lynette n i forgot who. oops. yeah. saw these guys at the stairway n we thought they were either tchers or juz participants. decided they were participants but still rushed to get into out rooms. i went straight to bath n natassia told me tt those pple were tchers! n one of them knocked on her door n asked her y her door wasnt locked! gosh... n she freaked out la. juz like how i freaked out when she told me abt it. n then realised tt they all came checkin on everyone. haah lucky teresa looked really sleepy tt she juz told them she went to the toilet n they passed her. yepz. rushed back to tv room after tt to meet up with the rest of the grp. thru the "secret path". haha really scary but fun! lol. yeah then jurja msged tasha n said tt she wanted to go back or she'd be really screwed coz she's overall ic. yeahs. so anw, both of us went in for a while first to meet up with everyone n see how everything was.

then suddenly someone saw pple getting caught in the other block! totally freaked out! we switched the lights off n everyone sat/lay on the floor so tt we'd be blocked by the height of the sofa seat. n we basically juz stayed like tt for a real long time. n omg, manu's really lame! sheesh... was seriously gonna kill him manx. he juz kept talkin n saying lame stuff. he din seem to noe the seriousness of the situation. n then he suddenly started liftin his legs up, did push-ups n wadeva he cld think of! sighx. n we were supposed to keep quiet but pple kept talkin n laughing in tt situation. was damn bad la. but lucky after tt, when we thought it was safe enough, they decided tt it was best for us SLOs to get back to our rooms first or else it wld be really bad. yeahs so both of us rushed back to our rooms thru the secret path again. haha really scary! gosh... but reached safety quite soon. yeahs. then benjamin msged to ask if we were safe alr. the guys were the only pple left in there. n they told me tt they were gonna stay there till the next morning, when it was safer. n yeah so they stayed there till ard 4 or 5 plus?? yeah then they brought everything back. haha thanks lots! =)

11th June
phew~! haha finally got to the last day alr. really felt kinda sad tt we were gonna leave each other alr, after 5 days, in which we really bonded a lot...

woke up v early at 5 am. haha even earlier than jurja. yeahs. then went to wake her up. was really v energetic! lol. then dunno y, there was this sudden fire alarm-like sound. heard after tt that it was either a false alarm or the lift. yeah but anyhows, that got everyone woken up. hahas n guess wad... while we were done with changing n packin n all tt, i went to jurja's room to juz wait for the rest of the gals. haha i was like,"can i sit on ur bed?" then fell asleep there. hahas. felt really tired suddenly. yeah then continued feeling sleepy for the rest of the day. ahahas. so weird! yeah so anw, we went to MPH for the last breakfast for pre-u sem. started to miss the place lots. but we had to rush to the holding area to get to MPSH for the closing ceremony. haha. tt one was better than the opening ceremony. everyone was taking pics everywhere! lol. then we watched this video done by one of the CCAs of the days we had spent... really nostalgic. *sighx* haha n erm, i din even noe they took a photo of me?! haha reall shocked to see myself there. yupz. btw, jjc's gonna be the next sch to hold pre-u sem =)

hmmx then there was tea with the minister. haha kinda confusing coz everyone was everywhere. all the nj pple gathered tgt for a large photo, esp the SLOs! so cool! SLOs RAWK!!!!! yeah man! WE ROCK! TOTALLY! WooHoo~! lols. then after tt really strenuous photo shoot, we juz started the nj "YAH" cheer n everyone joined in! way cool man! hahas. then every sch juz did their own cheers everywhere. can see tt the sch spirit was there! ahh so exciting!

hmmx then mr tharman went ard to see the montage. See Hwei was so good! omg she looked so confident! hahas. so proud of my "mummy"!!!!! lol. yupz then he went ard to talk to everyone. wells, cldnt really hear coz of my blocked nose n blocked ears. haha but i noe tt everyone was really hot in their blazers n standing in a cluster for so long, straining to listen to wad he was saying! gosh... hahas

then our grp went to the seats to talk again! yeah n we played this game in which we were supposed to go in a circle, using one word to describe each person in the grp... haha kinda cool! =) yepz. yeah then we took lotsa pics again! while waiting for the pple to cue us when mr tharman was abt to leave. then we took lotsa SN pics too! haha so cool to see so many pple there! yeah mans! i want a copy of the photos!!!!!!!!!! saw a few sn pple whom i din noe were frm sn... wells. haha noe more pple now... hee. =)

then my grp sang this delifrance song they composed in sentosa for one of the station games. hahas so cool!

transported back to pgp for the last time, packed last min stuff n then we all lugged our stuff to MPH to check out. haix. gathered as a grp for the last time. then coz Chirag had to leave earlier, we bade farewell first. really kinda sad. hahas then we shook hands n juz talked n talked n talked. almost wanted to cry. oh man...

haha then there was debrief for all SLOs. the tchers said we did a good job! hahah so happy!!!! but still, v sad... yeahs. our grp went to the foodcourt to eat n then both jurja n i met up with them later. hahas talked for a while then coz i ate really slowly n they all had to rush off, only yau png n i were left there. finished my food, talked for some time, then left when my parents arrived. hahas. gave min n her fren a lift back.

hmmx. really nostalgic abt the whole pre-u sem thing... was kinda looking forward towards being an SLO. felt really stressed at the beginning but now, as i look back, it was realy great. the experience was really so enriching that nothing can ever replace it. dunno if anyone frm my grp will see this, but here's a note for all of u: hey guys, its been a really great experience leading all of u in this pre-u sem. fell sick at a really bad time but it was ur encouragement, ur help n ur understanding that made my life as an SLO so great. really wanna thank all of u lots for these wonderful 6 days n 5 nights. really no regrets signing up to be an SLO. THANK U LOTS! I LOVE U!!!!! =) B12 RAWKS 4eva n eva! =)

yepz. n also to the other SLOs, esp kairu, ruixia, mich, jeremy, wenlin, kim, victor, peishan, charmaine, johannes, youkai, sishan, sangeetha, serene, chen chao, jurja, min tze, serene lek, kah yen, kavi, keefe etc etc etc. thanks a lot for all the help n concern u all have given me in one way or another i love u all lots too!!!!! =) SLOs RAWK!

there's sth wrong with me. no matter how tired i feel in the day, when i come online at night, i feel all revitalised n can juz stay infronta the comp for HOURS! this is bad. in other words, i have been sleeping v late these days, waking up early n stoning during make-up lessons... haix

had physics "topical quiz" today. sucked totally. hehs. scored a pathetic 8/35. sighx. n realised tt the paper isnt difficult at all! shucks. really need to buck up on my studies! been slackin like **** for a long long time. really dun wanna disappoint my parents so much, esp when they noe tt i m capable of doing at least ok. oh wells...

nvm abt tt. haha sounded so sad. anws, i watched Harry Potter today! lols. stayed in sch until 4+ for the co pple to go meet yx at ps. whoa haha totally stonish day. haha nvm. HP3 was kinda ok lah. not really like the first 2. but still, it's nice to watch with them! hahahas. n rj wad being her lame self again! oh man... imagine 4 gals in stitches surrounding a pole in one cabin of a train. hahas. omg.

finally back frm elects' camp! v tired... haha had elections yesterday for exco. yupz, khadijah's the new Aerius house cap! well done gal! =) elections speeches n Q&A n wad have u were so long! but i think tt most of the decisions made by us were good. kenny - pres, keefe - vice-pres, house caps: Aerius - khadijah, Aqua - sihui, Solaris - daniel, Lignum - Amanda, Ignis - you kai, Terra - jun kiat, su - head of cpu! congrats to all!!! haha forgot the rest alr, but still... CONGRATS! haha n to diana toos! SN rawks man! haha Seafood tooo!!!!!!!!

elects' camp was actually quite ok. started on saturday n ended on sunday. yupz.
saturday 29th May
went to fall in with the rest of the elects at 7 am. surprisingly, almost everyone turned up on time! WoW. haha yepz then they had pt, while 15 of us had to leave for nus for the rackey thing. yupz, returned to sch for lunch. had this 'lecture' by pradip n clara abt writing proposals. haha kinda boring lah, but lucky din fall asleep. hehs. n we got divided into our ad-hoc committees! wanted seniors' farewell actually, but there were too many requests, so settled for open day instead, which isnt that bad. hahas. n guess wad... the elects had to fall in at the parade square, to collect ORGANIC COMPOST! gosh... of all things...!!!!!

yeah. kinda gross actually. but anyhows, we all had to rush to the hall for station games. the chair game was quite fun, actually. haha but v taxing. at first we played within our grps, then all the elects joined to form a huge circle, then the seniors did the same! haha so fun! n our grp seniors r really nice! they kept ancouraging us all the while when we were dying. haha n even fanned us. lols. Seafood seniors, U GUYS ROCK! =)

cant rmb much after tt, juz tt we had to play this mass game:"Across the Sea of Green". basically we were given a few items n we were supposed to cross the field on those items, without stepping on the grass. if not we wld have to start all over again. yep. n the feeling of getting across finally! oh man, it was juz GREAT! hahas. n the seniors were there to cheer us on, to help us hold on to the unstable tables... really grateful for tt. haha n they were all so lame! gosh...

had Night Confidence Walk after tt. we were supposed to have one defect. there was juz one normal person, then the rest were supposed to be mute, crippled n blind. that was when we really had to trust n depend on our fellow grpmates. was the cripple for the first 3 stations n last few. chris n wenhao had to piggyback me. haha i bet they were dying larhs, coz im not light at all! hmmx. was the blind for a few stations oso...it was kinda scary, i must say. coz of my lack of confidence. haix. but wad to do... for a person who keeps slipping n falling...

reflections after tt. well, juz think that our grp's seniors r really nice n encouraging! although we're really a quiet bunch, but they saw more than team spirit in us! WoW! im impressed! hahas

sunday 30th May
had pt early in the morning. n cleared summore punishments... n the seniors did it with us! so nice of them. at least they din leave us there to die or sth... haha yupz.

had breakfast party after tt. our grp had soooo much food! gosh... haha din manage to clear the food lah, so kept the rest for the hike. the seniors seemed to enjoy wad we bought for the breakfast party! yays! haha din waste our time thinkin of wad to buy. oh wells... haha n really, our seniors r v v v v v v nice! haix cant stand it.

yepz den we prepared n went off for the hike. walked frm nj to bukit timah hill i think. cant rmb much, juz tt we walked a lot a lot A LOT. yeah. juz din stop walkin lah... lucky the seniors were there to talk to us a bit. haha. n hongju din seem tired at all can. yeah. so anw, we juz walked n walked n walked n walked n walked. cheering kinda helped, but we were all v tired! haha but the encouragement everyone gave to everyone else was really helpful =)

v tired after the whole thing. n to clear 300 push-ups we had accumulated, we walked all the way frm bukit timah hill, back to nj. grp 5 was the first to arrive! haha. we juz did our best to walk as fast as possible, so that we could have more time to rest. n boy, was that helpful!

the grp skit thing was quite funny! haha. actually our grp had planned sth, but at the last minute we din have our star coz she was hospitalised. so anyhows, we came up with a new skit in ard 10 mins! good job! hahas. n our seniors were enthu enough to join in! WooHoo~! haha it was quite ok i guess, even though half the time we were juz waiting for chris to think up of some crap on the spot. the locker-n-key game was quite lame, actually. but still, the rewards were really nice! the mirrors! WoW... "survived elects' camp 2004" oh gosh... so touched.

then after that was reflections, i think. everyone gathered at the amphi. was talkin to hongju while walkin there, n he said tt he was still not willing to step down yet. n dunno y, this weird feeling just crept up. oh wells... heard the really slow, touching background music n almost cried. hahs. yeah. then he n michelle leong started talking about all tt had passed, since the day we purchased the form to run for council... sighx. all the memories juz came flooding back. n juz as i tried to control myself, the tears juz came flowing down. shucks. but it was a really emotional night. everyone juz teared n cried n hugged n wad-have-u. even the guys. yes, u read me right. sighx. really gonna miss the seniors lots! all tt they had done for us was really for our own good, even though they seemed really fierce n sadistic n all. esp the dc com. haha so feared by us! oh wells...

realised tt i kinda enjoyed elects' camp! haha yeah, though it was quite scary at first, with so many push-ups to clear, the almost 180-degree change of our seniors frm good frens to "monster-like". haha but in the end.. as cliche as it may sound, it was really for our own good. really appreciate it!

yupz, now we're officially student councillors already... still feel kinda sad for the house reps coz of the decision to name ourselves 37th Students' Council, but i think wad Clara said yesterday made sense. "It's just a name n SC is known by everyone, but if we called it sth else, like ambassador or sth, it will be quite difficult for others to understand wad we do n this wld juz make things complicated." as long as we still recognise wad the house reps did over the yrs, a name wld not matter as much =)
